Every year, Telfair Museums in Savannah, Georgia hosts its largest fundraiser/auction called the Telfair Ball. For 2010, a speakeasy theme was chosen with the title Les Années Folles, meaning “The Crazy Years.” To enhance the speakeasy theme, the save the date postcard referenced a back alley secret window where dancers could be seen within the mysterious space. When the patrons arrived at the museum the night of the event, they were given a card with the secret password along with their auction program. The same card had a map leading to a secret entrance to the main event. The password is the French translation of the word charity. The only restrictions besides the title were the colors pink and gray.
